Body of young man found in paddy field at Kaliakair

The dead body of a young man named Zakir Hossain (38) was recovered from the edge of a paddy field in the Kamarchala village of Madhyapara Union under Kaliakair upazila in Gazipur district on Friday.
The deceased, Zakir Hossain, was a resident of Sejabar village in the same union. He was the second among three brothers and worked as a laborer at the Royena Resort.
According to family sources, Zakir left his home at around 5:12 AM on Friday, as per his daily routine, to go to work. However, when he did not reach his workplace, his family became concerned. Later, locals spotted his body lying beside a paddy field in a lowland area of Kamarchala village.
Upon receiving the news, Sub-Inspector Selim Hossain of the Mawchak Police Outpost, along with his team, arrived at the scene and recovered and identified the body.
Police reported that no injury marks were found on the body. They suspect it to be an unnatural death. The body has been sent to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
The incident has caused considerable concern in the area. Police have stated that the actual cause of death will be determined following the investigation.
