BNP delegation visits model community in China

A delegation from the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), currently on an official visit to China, toured a model community in the suburban area of Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, on Friday (June 27) morning.
During the visit, the secretary of the community committee welcomed the delegation and briefed them on various ongoing initiatives, including healthcare services, volunteer work, disability rehabilitation, and educational programs.
The delegation also visited a museum attached to the community that highlights China’s revolutionary history and efforts to educate children about the country's struggle for independence.
Later in the day, senior officials, including the director general of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC), officially bid farewell to the BNP team at the airport.
Speaking to reporters at Xi’an Airport, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said the visit, undertaken at the invitation of the CPC, signifies a new level of understanding between the two parties and would help deepen the strategic ties between Bangladesh and China.
The BNP delegation is scheduled to land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 9:40pm, where the acting Chinese ambassador will receive them.
