Elections for Satkhira's Bhomra Land Port Handling Workers Union (Reg: 1155) and Bhomra Land Port Godown Handling Workers Union (Reg: 1159) will be held on August 2.
Chief Election Commissioner Chairman Abdur Rauf of 1159 and Chief Election Commissioner Chairman Israel Gazi of 1155 announced the election schedule and gave this information on Sunday.
They said that in the elections of the two labor unions, the draft voter list will be published on July 13, objections and settlement on the draft voter list will be made on July 15, the final voter list will be published and nomination papers will be collected on July 16, the nomination papers will be screened and the initial list of candidates will be published on July 20, the appeal of the candidate and the hearing on the appeal will be held on July 21, the withdrawal of nomination papers and the final list of candidates will be published on July 22, the symbols will be allocated on July 23, voting will be held and the initial results will be announced on August 2.
They also said that all preparations have been made to make the elections of Bhomra Land Port Handling Workers Union (Reg: 1155) and Bhomra Land Port Godown Handling Workers Union (Reg: 1159) free, fair and impartial. We hope that with everyone's cooperation, we will be able to complete the elections of these two workers unions smoothly.
Abu Hasan and Shri Paritosh Ghosh of 1155 and Abu Musa and Asadul Islam of 1159 will serve as Assistant Election Commissioners.
