Barishal Airport Thana police arrested one with 10 kg of vannabis

Barishal Metropolitan Police (BMP) Airport Thana conducted a special operation, resulting in the arrest of a drug smuggler with 10 kg of cannabis.
Based on confidential information, on May 20, 2025, at 11:30 PM, a police team from Airport Thana carried out an operation on the west side of the Dhaka-Barisal highway near the Gariarpar bus stand, adjacent to Baishakhi Store, in BCC Ward No. 30 under Airport Thana.
The operation was led by SI (Unarmed) Md. Tarikuzzaman. His team included ASI (Unarmed) Md. Ajmal Uddin Thakur, Constables Yusuf Ali, Anwar Hossain, Md. Jahirul Islam, and Md. Zakir Hossen.
During the operation, 10 kg of cannabis was recovered from the possession of Nayan Talukdar (19), son of Milan Talukdar and the late Hasina Begum. Moni Begum, resident of Uttar Fulhata Talukdar Bari, Baharbunia, Thana–Morelganj, District–Bagerhat. He was subsequently arrested.
