About 3.5 lakh children will be fed Vitamin A capsules in Rangpur district on Saturday, March 15, 2025.
Rangpur District Civil Surgeon Dr. Shahina Sultana gave this information at a press conference organized on Wednesday morning, March 12, on the occasion of the National Vitamin A Plus Campaign. At that time, it was informed that a total of 3 lakh 57 thousand 500 children in 8 upazilas of Rangpur district will be fed Vitamin A capsules. Of these, a total of 39 thousand 422 children aged 6 to 11 months, including 39 thousand 259 children with blue color and 163 children with disabilities, will be fed Vitamin A capsules. In addition, a total of 3 lakh 16 thousand 526 children aged 12 to 59 months and 1 thousand 552 children with disabilities will be fed Red Vitamin A Plus capsules.
At that time, the Civil Surgeon said that the National Vitamin A Plus Campaign will be held in all upazilas of Rangpur district all day long next Saturday like the whole country. In addition, the National Vitamin A Plus Campaign will be conducted at all railway stations, bus stands, launch stations, and all stands in the district. This campaign will be conducted in 1,832 centers in Rangpur district, by 3,664 volunteers, 456 health workers, and 228 supervisors. Medical Officer Dr. Mahinur Islam, along with officials and journalists, were present at the press conference.
