3rd International Computing, Applications and Systems Confce begins at DU

The “Third International Conference on Computing, Applications and Systems ( COMPAS 2026)” jointly organized by IEEE Computer Society Bangladesh Chapter and the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) of Dhaka University has started on Friday at Abdul Karim Sahitya Bisharad Auditorium of Bangla Academy. Dhaka University Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Professor Dr. Mohammad Almojaddidi Alfesani inaugurated the conference as the chief guest.
The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Professor Dr. Md. Abdur Razzak, Chairman of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and General Chair of COMPAS 2026. Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Professor Dr. Upma Kabir, and Chairman of the IEEE Bangladesh Section, Professor Dr. Mohammad Imamul Hasan Bhuiyan, spoke as special guests.
Pro-Vice Chancellor (Admin) ProfDr. Mohammad Almojaddidi Alfesani said that the quality of research should not be judged only by published research papers, citations or rankings. The importance of the research question, reproducibility of the results and its positive impact on people's lives are equally important in this regard.
