31 arrested ncluding 3 in Special Operation in Rajshahi city

In a special operation conducted by the Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP), including its thana and Detective Branch (DB) units, a total of 31 individuals have been arrested in Rajshahi Metropolis over the past 24 hours ending Sunday.
The operation targeted various locations across the city, resulting in the arrest of 3 individuals on charges related to attacks, explosions, terrorist activities, and other crimes linked to the anti-discrimination student movement. Additionally, 28 others were arrested, including 7 with outstanding warrants, 4 in drug-related cases, and 17 for other offenses.
The three individuals arrested in the special operation are Awami League activists Sheikh Md. Mahidul Islam (21), Md. Koushik Ahmed alias Robin (30), and Md. Mizanur Rahman Mim (21). Mahidul Islam is the son of Md. Jahangir Alam from the Court Bulonpur area under Rajpara Thana. Koushik is the son of Md. Rustam Ali from the Ranidighi area under Kashiadaanga Thana. Mizanur is the son of the late Ekramul from the Natun Bil Simla Bandhgate area under Rajpara Thana.
Legal action has been taken against all arrested individuals.
