Twenty five sewing machines have been distributed free of charge among 25 helpless and extremely poor families in Sherpur, Bogura, with the funding of Bangladesh NGO Foundation under the initiative of Tara Palli Unnayan Sangstha.
Sughat Union BNP President Humayun Kabir Biplob presided over the sewing machine distribution ceremony at the organization's office in Belgachhi village of Sughat Union of the upazila at 11 am on Tuesday.
The organization's executive director Nazrul Islam moderated the event and Sughat Union Parishad Acting Chairman Ali Hasan spoke as the chief guest on behalf of UNO Ashiq Khan. Sughat Union BNP General Secretary KM Manik, Samaj Unnayan Sangstha Executive Director Abdur Rahim and others also spoke. At the end of the discussion meeting, 25 sewing machines were distributed free of charge among 25 helpless and extremely poor families.
