Over 2,000 people receive free medical services at Joint Camp Honoring Humanitarian Visionary Muhammad Mohin Uddin Liton

In a powerful tribute to compassion and youth leadership, more than 2,000 individuals from across Hathazari and surrounding communities received free medical treatment during a large-scale medical camp organized in memory of Muhammad Mohin Uddin Liton, a visionary youth organizer tragically lost to a road accident.
The free medical camp, conducted on 1 May, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the west side of Nazirhat New Road in Farhadabad, was jointly organized by International Youth Changemaker (IYCM) Chittagong Chapter, Lions Club and Leo Club of Chittagong Imperial City, and Hathazari Farhadabad Purba Mandakini Adarsh Samaj Kalyan Sangha, a prominent non-political, social and humanitarian organization Liton had co-founded and served as its Chief Coordinator.
The initiative was aimed at transforming Liton’s dream of serving underprivileged communities through free healthcare into a meaningful reality. With a massive turnout and tireless service from dozens of professionals and volunteers, the event stood as a shining example of how community action can keep a humanitarian legacy alive.
Under the medical leadership of Dr. Zainal Abedin Muhuri, Advisor of IYCM Chittagong Chapter, and a robust team of experienced physicians, the following services were provided: Eye Treatment: 430 people, with 50 individuals nominated for free cataract surgery, delivered by a specialized team from Chittagong Lions Eye Hospital, Gynecological Services: 100 women, General Medicine: 320 patients, Pediatric Care: 250 children, Rheumatology, Skin & Venereal Diseases: 285 people, Free Blood Group Testing: 250 people, Diabetes Screening: 210 people, Counseling & Guidance Services: Over 200 patients. The medical team included esteemed doctors: Dr. Mohammad Mozammel Hossain (Palash), Dr. Minhaj Uddin, Dr. Tamanna Tabassum Jessy, Dr. Salah Uddin Ahmed, Dr. Ila Das (Specialist in Neonatal and Child Diseases, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Rheumatology, Dermatology, and DiabetesTheir collective expertise ensured comprehensive, inclusive medical care across a wide range of specialties.
The camp was actively coordinated by a dynamic group of youth leaders and volunteers from IYCM, the Lions and Leo Clubs, and Adarsh Samaj Kalyan Sangha.

From Adarsh Samaj Kalyan Sangha, Shariful Hasan, President, Md. Salahuddin, Senior Vice President, Nur Md. Siddique, Information and Technology Affairs Secretary, Abdul Mannan, Expatriate Council Member, Kausar Ul Alam, Organizing Secretary, Md. Jewel Uddin, Finance Secretary, Arif, Executive Member, Riyad, Volunteer, Sayem, Volunteer board members and junior volunteers of the Adarsh Samaj Kalyan Sangha worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure seamless logistics and coordination.
Youth-led discipline and support were provided by cadets from Nazirhat College BNCC Platoon, Girl Guides, Youth Red Crescent Unit, and local Scouts, along with the Adarsh Samaj Kalyan Sangha Young Volunteer Team, who maintained crowd control, patient flow, and medical team support throughout the day.
A Legacy of Service thhis camp reflects the powerful impact of a single life dedicated to social service," said Lion Muhammad Obidur Rahman, the event's lead organizer. "By turning Mohin's dream into action, we have touched thousands of lives and inspired a new generation of changemakers.
The free medical camp is now being recognized as one of the largest community health initiatives in recent memory in Hathazari, setting a standard for collaborative humanitarian action in Bangladesh.
