Md. Mafiz Uddin Sarker, Rangpur
Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu told reporters after laying the foundation stone of the six-storey Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit service building on the Rangpur Medical College and Hospital premises on Saturday afternoon that the four murders are major incidents in Rangpur's history.
Currently, its mystery is under discussion. It is most important to bring the real culprits, if anyone is involved in the murders, to justice through a fair investigation. That is why the administration is taking some time to investigate. I hope that the trial can be completed in the fastest time by filing a charge sheet through a short investigation.
The Relief Minister said, we could not accept this murder in any way. Although there are various discussions in unraveling the mystery of this murder, various symptoms may be developing in the investigation, so it takes some time. The most important thing for us is to expose those who are guilty and involved in the murder through a fair investigation and bring them under the law.
The minister said, after being elected as the president of Rangpur Medical College Hospital, I have been to the medical college three times, I am holding regular meetings. We will see how much the decision of the last meeting has been implemented, how much has not been implemented, and why it has not been implemented. Due to the lack of anesthesiologists, a new ICU bed could not be opened in the hospital.
Rangpur Development Authority Chairman Shamsuzzaman Samu, Rangpur Medical College Principal Professor Dr. Anwar Hossain, Hospital Director Brigadier General Ashikur Rahman were present among others.
According to Rangpur Medical College Hospital sources, 10 crore taka is being spent on the construction of the six-storey building for the separate Burn and Plastic Surgery Department.
The first floor of the six-storey building will house the generator substation, the second floor will house the manifold, the electric control room, the third floor will be used as a store room, and the fourth to sixth floors will be used as Ansar barracks.
