
Four people jailed, fined in mobile court operation in Mirzapur

Four people have been jailed and fined in a mobile court operation in Mirzapur, Tangail on Thursday afternoon.
Upazila Assistant Commissioner Land and Executive Magistrate Md. Tarek Aziz conducted a drive in Pushtakamuri Purba Saudagar Para of the Municipal Sadar and Kadim Deohata area of Gorai Union.
According to information, they had been consuming and selling drugs for a long time. Based on secret information, they were able to be arrested from the spot.
The arrested accused are, Md. Biku Mia (70) and his wife Nurunnahar (50) of Bawar Kumarjani village in the same ward are the father of: Ashikuzzaman (20), son of the late Samad Miah, and Sudeb Rajbangshi (20), son of Shashti Rajbangshi of Kadim Deohata village in Gorai union.
Mirzapur Upazila Assistant Commissioner Land and Executive Magistrate Md. Tarek Aziz told reporters, along with all the members of the Tangail Narcotics Control Department, we arrested drug dealers and users red-handed. Later, each of them was sentenced to four months in jail and a fine of Tk 50. He said that such operations will continue in the future.
