Two Indian nationals arrested from Jibannagar border

Members of the 58th Battalion of the BGB have arrested two Indian nationals from the Jibannagar border in Chuadanga. They were arrested at around 11:30 pm on Wednesday.The arrested are Putul Das (49), daughter of Harlal Das of Tilakchandrapur village of Kalinagar police station in South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, and Tarek Das, son of Balai Das of the same area.In a press release sent to the media on Thursday afternoon, BGB's 58th Battalion Assistant Director and Acting Quartermaster Md. Saiful Islam gave this information.
 
The release said that Subedar Md. Hafizur Rahman was conducting a special patrol in the area under the responsibility of Jibannagar BOP under 58th BGB at around 11:30 pm on Wednesday.At that time, two Indian nationals were arrested from the road adjacent to Ward No. 2 of Jibannagar Municipality, approximately 07 kilometers inside Bangladesh from the border main pillar 68. The two Indian nationals were preparing to enter India illegally from Bangladesh.The notification further said that the two arrested Indian nationals have been handed over to Jibannagar Police Station of Chuadanga district. A case has been filed against them under the relevant law.
