Training on tobacco control law held in Jaldhaka

Keeping in mind the slogan of "Resisting Tobacco Company Intervention - Ensuring the Safety of Children", a training on Tobacco Control Law was held with the members of the Upazila Task Force Committee to implement the Tobacco Control Law in Jaldhaka on Tuesday  morning at the Upazila Auditorium Hallroom with the support of the National Tobacco Control Cell, Health Service Clinic, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the overall organization of the Upazila Administration. 
 
Upazila Task Force Committee Course Director and UUN Zaid Imrul Mozakkin presided over  and the keynote speaker and power point presentation on the rules of the Tobacco Control Law was given by Upazila Health Complex P.O. Dr. Kazi Mohammad Atiqul Islam.
 
 Assistant Commissioner (Land) A.B.M. Sarwar Rabbi, Police Station OC  Arzu Mohammad Sajjad Hossain, Press Club General Secretary Shahjahan Kabir Lelin, Agricultural Extension Officer Asaduzzaman Asad, Jaldhaka Municipality Assistant Engineer S.M. Alexander and Ansar VDP Officer Mousumi Akhter were present at the time. Members of the Jaldhaka Upazila Task Force Committee for the Implementation of the Tobacco Control Act and authorized officials participated in the training and shed light on issues related to anti-tobacco products and presented their comments verbally and in writing. In his closing speech, Upazila Executive Officer Task Force Committee Director Zayid Imrul Mozakkin said that tobacco products should not affect future generations and emphasized the importance of stopping child labor, banning tobacco cultivation, and showing a safe path to tobacco product manufacturing companies and consumers through awareness. Along with this, Executive Officer Zayid Imrul Mozakkin called for taking steps to implement the Tobacco Control Act in the future work plan.
