Teenage day laborer dies while cutting grass to eat beans in Noakhali

A teenage daily wage laborer named Md. Shahed (17) died while cleaning grass in a bean field in Subarnachar, Noakhali.
The incident took place in the Char Noman area of Ward No. 9 of Mohammadpur Union of the upazila around 10 am on Wednesday.
The deceased, Shahed, was the son of Md. Khalil of the same village. He worked as a daily wage laborer.
The deceased's maternal uncle, Zaker Ahmed, said that Shahed started cleaning grass at the farm of a man named Monir next to his house around 8:30 am on Wednesday. At around 10 am, the relatives of the owner of the farm brought him breakfast. At that time, they found Shahed lying in knee-deep water in the field. Later, he was rescued and taken to a local village doctor, who declared Shahed dead. The initial idea of the deceased's relatives is that he may have died of a stroke while working. However, the exact cause of death could not be confirmed.
Char Jabbar Police Station OC Rafiqul Hasan said that the police visited the scene after receiving the information. Further legal action will be taken after investigation.
