Though the State Language Movement has passed, the Shaheed Minar has not been constructed in most educational institutions of Amtali upazila.

Students of educational institutions are celebrating International Mother Language Day by building temporary minarets with bananas and bamboo. The students are angry. The students complain that the Upazila administration can spend money on various projects but they are not allotted to the construction of the Shaheed Minar. They demanded the construction of the Shaheed Minar in all the educational institutions of the upazila.

It is reported that there are 222 educational institutions in Amtali upazila. Of these, there are 5 government primary schools, 3 ni ni secondary schools, 20 secondary schools, 20 madrasas and 5 colleges. There are 12 secondary schools in the upazila, two colleges and 3 primary schools in the Shaheed Minar. The remaining school does not have the Shaheed Minar. On the other hand, there is no martyr minar in any madrasa in the upazila.

Students are celebrating International Mother Language Day every year by building temporary martyr minarets with bananas and bamboo. Besides, the martyr minarets are also neglected and neglected. They have no renovation initiative. Every year, two days before the International Mother Language Day, other martyr minarets including the Shaheed Minar of Amtali are rubbed. When the day is over, no one knows the minaret. Md. Abul Hossain Biswas, a retired professor of conscious citizen Amtali Government College, complained that the martyr was formed at the Shaheed Minar.

On Monday, it was spotted on Monday that Kaunia Ibrahim Academy Secondary School, Gurdal Bangabandhu Ni 1 Secondary School, MU Secondary School, Bandar Hossainia Fazil Madrasa, Tariqata Secondary School, Gazipur Senior Fazil Madrasa, Manik Madras, Manik MadrasMost of the educational institutions, including Branchia Secondary School, do not have the Shaheed MinarLakshi Rani, Juiria and Fahim Hossain, students of Shakharia Secondary School, said there was no martyr minar in the school. The temporary martyr minaret with bananas and bamboo is to be celebrated. They also said that the upazila administration can spend money on various projects but they are not allotted to the construction of the Shaheed Minar. These are extreme disregard for educational institutions and students. They demanded the construction of a martyr minaret quickly.

Kwabunia Secondary School Head Teacher (Acting) Nuruzzaman Halim said, "I cannot do the martyr minaret in the school because of the financial crisis." Shaheed Minar will be constructed if financial association. He also said that the students celebrate International Mother Language Day by building temporary martyr minarets with bananas and bamboo.

Amtali Upazila Primary Education Officer Md. Safiul Alam said that there is no martyr minar in the remaining schools except the six schools in the upazila. It will be implemented if the government takes initiative in the construction of the Shaheed Minar. He added that locals are being encouraged to build the Shaheed Minar.

Amtali UNO Muhammad Ashraful Alam said that the Shaheed Minar must be in the educational institution to know the identity of the martyrs of the language and pay homage to them. Secondary and Primary Education Officer has been instructed to construct a Shaheed Minar in educational institutions. They will collect money at the local level and build the Shaheed Minar.
