Multimedia, fact-checking, AI training for  journalists begins in Satkhira

 A 3-day training workshop on multimedia, fact checking and AI for journalists has started in Satkhira. Satkhira Deputy Commissioner Kausar Aziz inaugurated the training workshop at the Satkhira Press Club auditorium on Tuesday (June 23) at 10 am under the initiative of the Press Institute Bangladesh (PIB) and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
 
Deputy Commissioner Kausar Aziz said, "As the flow of information has increased in the digital age, so has the risk of spreading misinformation and rumors. In this situation, one of the main responsibilities of media workers is to verify information and ensure responsible journalism. He highlighted the importance of such training in enhancing the professional skills of journalists."
PIB's trainer and program coordinator spoke as a trainer at the event, chaired by Satkhira Press Club President GM Monirul Islam Mini.
 
Md. Sahanwar Said Shahin, General Secretary of Satkhira Press Club Abdul Bari delivered the welcome speech at the beginning of the program.
 
On the first day of the training, Md. Shahabuddin conducted the training as a resource person. During this time, members of different levels of Satkhira Press Club participated in the training.
