Huge quantity of illegal liquor recovered in Baraigram

A huge quantity of illegal liquor and materials used for its production have been recovered by a divisional intelligence team during a raid in Baraigram Upazila of Natore.
Acting on intelligence information, the team conducted an operation on Sunday at the residence of Jewel Rosario (30) in the Kalikapur Christian Colony area under Bonpara Municipality.
During the raid, the intelligence team recovered 20 litres of locally produced liquor along with approximately 300 litres of ingredients used in its production and arrested Sonali Das (23). The arrested woman was later handed over to the local police station for further legal action.
According to sources, Sonali Das is the wife of Jewel Rosario of Kalikapur village. The operation was conducted under the leadership of Intelligence Inspector Raju Ahmed.
Based on information provided by the accused, the intelligence team recovered a substantial quantity of liquor that had been cleverly concealed beneath the tiled floor of the house using modern hiding techniques.
Local residents alleged that the accused and her family members had been involved in the illegal liquor trade for a long period.
