How much longer will you sleep, how much longer will you remain silent

How much longer will you sleep, how much longer will you remain silent

Sudhir Baran Majhi

Looking at the surrounding environment, it seems that our lives and livelihoods are covered in a blanket of insecurity. No one is free from this insecurity. From foreign citizens to even the smallest child of the country. Now, the force of force has become more important than truth and the force of body and voice has become more important than reason. Due to self-interest, people are becoming violent, becoming extremists. One after another, murder, rape, killing has made the living beings face extreme uncertainty and insecurity. Law and order is now very abnormal.

It has now become uncertain to leave the house and return home safely. There is no breath of relief anywhere. Only immoral reality is visible on social media and in the media. Extremism, fanaticism, brutality, robbery, etc. We have to go to bed at night with extreme fear and uncertainty in our minds and wake up to go to our respective jobs. We are living in a time where there is no respect for human rights, humanity and justice. Today, we have almost no space to speak out against these crimes and injustices. This situation has created a frightening reality in our lives. Day after day, as we move in this uncertain environment, we often wonder, are we safe anywhere? The increasing violence, revenge and inhumanity among people around us are clear. In such a situation, our feelings and thoughts have become numb to a great extent. In this turbulent environment, the idea of peace and security in people's lives is also disappearing. With every step, an unknown fear, a weakness has invaded our thoughts. We never understand what awaits us tomorrow - we spend our days in such a state.

In this uncertain and turbulent environment, we all seem to be trapped in an invisible terror. Every moment it seems that some danger is waiting, but it is difficult to understand where or when it will happen. People are losing conscience and humanity, and as a result, the rate of crime and injustice in society is increasing day by day. Those who speak out against injustice are often silently forced into injustice. Our daily lives are being imprisoned in an invisible terror.

There is no certainty, no security anywhere, and because of this, a kind of confusion and despair is being created in society. People are no longer sympathetic to each other as before, but rather look at each other with suspicion. Everyone is busy protecting themselves and their families, and humanity is being lost in this panic. Our responsibility is to raise a strong voice for peace, justice and human rights by exhausting our strength. Everyone must come forward to establish unity, respect and peace in society. Instead of humanity and compassion, there is now a backdrop of power, power and superiority. No one is sympathetic to each other anymore, everyone is forced to protect themselves terribly for their own safety. Anger, revenge and intolerance are gradually increasing among people. We all have a responsibility to help each other restore peace and security in this society. To stand by those who are living in fear, discomfort, and darkness, and to work to create a balanced and safe environment. There is no more time to just be silent, to be afraid.

How much longer will you sleep? How much longer will you remain silent? Now is the time to wake up, speak out unitedly against rape, murder, murder mob justice. Will we just remain silent? If we continue to remain silent, this darkness in society will only increase. We all have a responsibility to raise our voices against this discrimination and instability from our own position. We need to take a firm stand against instability. Not only should we restore law and order, we should also restore values and humanity in society. So that people can help each other, go out on the streets without fear, and live their daily lives safely. It is our human duty to stand by those who are victims of crime and show compassion and support to them. To resist all forms of discrimination, torture, and injustice. We all have to work together to ensure social justice, human rights and security. We must have the determination to stand together not only in our mouths but also in our hearts.

Our demands to the state are to guarantee the rule of law and justice. The law and order situation must be restored so that every person can live safely and peace is established in the society. Only with the collective efforts of people from all sections of the society can we move forward on the path of victory against these dark times. Now our responsibility is not only to be afraid, but to protest bravely and work for good governance. We all have to work together to stand up for human values and justice and establish a peaceful and safe society. We have only one goal - to ensure peace, security and human rights. We have to protest strongly against all immoral, inhumane situations so that the next generation can grow up safely. Although it is possible to temporarily deal with this current situation through a change of power alone, a permanent solution does not seem possible without a change in the system. Therefore, along with the change of power, the struggle for a change in the system must also be kept alive. The country and politics must be built for the people.
