Doa Mahfil held in Bogura after Jummah prayer as part of BNP’s central program

As part of its central program, the BNP  organized a Doa Mahfil in Bogura following Jummah prayers on Friday after securing an overwhelming number of seats in the 13th National Parliamentary Election.

The Doa Mahfil was held at the Baitur Rahman Central Mosque in Bogura city.

Special prayers were offered seeking peace, democracy, and overall development of the country. Prayers were also made for the eternal salvation of the departed soul of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. BNP leaders stated that no victory procession or public rally would be organized despite the party’s electoral success.

Among those present at the doa mahfil were Bogura District BNP President Rezaul Karim Badsha; members of the party’s National Executive Committee Ali Azgar Talukder Hena and Zainal Abedin Chan; former convenor of the district BNP Advocate Saiful Islam; former general secretary Fazlul Bari Talukder Belal; organizing secretary KM Khairul Bashar; joint secretary Touhidul Alam Mamun; assistant organizing secretary Humayun Kabir Geda; and city BNP organizing secretary Sulaiman Ali.

Also present were BNP Chairperson’s adviser and former mayor of Bogura Municipality Advocate A.K.M. Mahbubur Rahman; senior vice-president of the central committee of Krishak Dal and former Member of Parliament Md. Helaluzzaman Talukder Lalu; National Executive Committee member VP Saiful Islam; acting general secretary of Bogura District BNP Mosharraf Hossain; along with other senior leaders and activists of the party.

The Doa Mahfil was conducted by Mufti Maulana Monayer Hossain, khatib of Baitur Rahman Central Mosque. After the prayers, tabarruk was distributed among the worshippers.
