District Law and Order Committee meeting held in Rangamati

The District Law and Order Committee meeting in Rangamati was held at 10:30 am on Tuesday at the Deputy Commissioner's Conference Room.
 
The Law and Order Committee meeting was presided over by Rangamati Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Habib Ullah Maruf.
 
The concerned authorities have been instructed to be extremely vigilant to prevent Hilsa smuggling using the Rangamati border. If necessary steps are taken at the earliest when illegal establishments are occupied, complications will be reduced to a great extent.
 
The need for dredging of Kaptai Lake is essential. The Deputy Commissioner said that the necessary steps are underway in this regard. He said that proper management of the soil for dredging of Kaptai Lake is very important.
 
Police Superintendent Dr. SM Farhad Hossain Chowdhury, Deputy Director of Local Government, Md. Mobarak Hossain, Lieutenant Colonel Tawfiq, Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr. Amit Dey, District Council Member Md. Habib Azam, President of the Chamber of Commerce Adv. Md. Mamunur Rashid Mamun, Executive Engineer of the Public Health Engineering Department Parag Barua, Deputy Director of the District Statistics Department Md. Nur Uz Zaman, Assistant Director of the Narcotics Control Department M. Saiful Islam and officials from various government and private departments were present at the meeting.
