
Coast Guard provides emergency medical assistance to launch passenger in Bhola

Bangladesh Coast Guard has provided emergency medical assistance to a launch passenger near Bhola on Friday , according to Lieutenant Commander Siam-ul-Haque, Media Officer of the Coast Guard.
The press release said, on Wednesday, a passenger aboard a launch traveling from Barishal to his home in Borhanuddin, Bhola, fell seriously ill due to fever and chest pain as the vessel approached Sreepur area at 4:00 PM. A fellow passenger on the launch dialed the emergency helpline 999 to seek urgent assistance.
Upon receiving the call, the Coast Guard Bhola Base immediately dispatched a medical team to the Veduria Launch Terminal in Bhola, where they administered first aid to the patient. The individual was then transported in a Coast Guard vehicle to Bhola Sadar Hospital for advanced treatment, where he is currently under medical care.
The press release added, the Coast Guard remains ever vigilant in the service of the people and will continue its commitment to public welfare.
