Coast Guard operation : Daulatkhan active bandit members arrested with large quantity of indigenous weapons

One active dacoit member of notorious Siraj Bahini along with one indigenous firearms, huge quantity of indigenous weapons were arrested in a Coast Guard raid at Daulatkhan in Bhola.
Coast Guard Headquarters Media Officer Lt. Commander Khandaker Munif Taqi gave this information on Sunday.
For several days, it is known that a notorious dacoit gang led by Golam Haider Shovan was carrying out extortion, land grabbing and various misdemeanors by taking local people and fishermen as hostages in the Meghna river and adjacent Chares in Tulatli and Ilisha areas of Bhola district. If the affected local population requests Coast Guard assistance, the Coast Guard increases operations in those areas.
As a result, today 20 October 2024 based on secret information, a joint operation was conducted by BCG Base Bhola under Bangladesh Coast Guard South Zone in combination with Coast Guard and Bangladesh Police in Elka near Khaerhat Bazar under Daulatkhan Upazila of Bhola District. During the raid, 01 domestic firearms, 09 domestic weapons, 01 mobile, bank checks and documents with blank signatures, 01 passport, foreign currency (04 dollars and 100 rupees) and 01 fake CID were recovered from the said area.
He was arrested with police ID card. He further said that the arrested robber was handed over to Daulatkhan police station along with all the seized evidence.
