
Anti-discrimination Student Movement holds protest march, Doa Mahfil in Gangachara

A protest march and special Doa Mahfil were organized by the Anti-discrimination Student Movement in Gangachara, Rangpur, demanding justice against discrimination on Friday at Gangachara Bazar Zero Point.
The protesters demanded trial for the July, Shapla and Peelkhana massacres, arrest of "Kasai Shahbagi Lucky " and banning of the Awami League and its associates.
Gangachara became abuzz with protest slogans. The protesters said that due to lack of justice, the brutal murders of history have remained unpunished even today, which is a shame for an independent country.
After the protest, a prayer mahfil was organized, where special prayers were offered for Asia. The organizers said that this movement will continue to establish a society without discrimination.
The leaders of the anti-discrimination student movement, Mahaiminul Islam Ahad, Mejbahul Islam Fahim, Shahjalal Shraban, Nahid, Tariqul Islam and Jiban, were present. In addition, Rifat Chowdhury, Jahanur Islam, Abdul Bari, Tayyab Ali and Shahidul Islam expressed their solidarity on behalf of the Citizens' Committee.
This peaceful programme has created a huge stir among the locals. The organizers claim that they will hold more strict programs in the future if their demands are not met .
