All set to kick off 'Bangladesh Branding Festival 2025’ in Kuala Lumpur

A unique initiative to present Bangladesh to the world in a new light is set to take place in Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur — the Bangladesh Branding Festival 2025.

Scheduled for September 27, the daylong grand Festival will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Craft Complex from 10 AM to 10 PM, open to all with free entry.

This is not just a cultural celebration; it is a multidimensional platform to showcase Bangladesh’s economy, culture, innovation, and diaspora pride on the global stage. Organizers expect at least 5,000 visitors to attend the event.

Showcasing strengths of real estate, banking, food, telecom, ready-made garments, healthcare, education, tourism, and handicrafts will be available.

Cultural performances, fashion shows, and live concerts featuring popular artists from Bangladesh and Malaysia will be organised.

Traditional cuisine and street food to delight both expatriates and locals are attraction to visitiors.

Opportunities for scholarships, career guidance, and youth empowerment are available through this Festival.

It is a platform for presenting innovative projects to international investors and
providing information on jobs, rights, healthcare, and remittances for migrant workers are main objectives of the Festival.

Acknowledging contributions of expatriates in education, healthcare, entrepreneurship, social service, and culture.

Professor Jahangir Alam, President of the Malaysia Bangladesh Forum Association (MBFA), said:
“Our goal is to brand Bangladesh — to showcase our products, culture, talent, and the contributions of expatriates to the world. This festival in Malaysia will open new doors of opportunity for Bangladesh.”

Festival coordinators added:
“This is not just a festival; it is an expression of our pride and identity. It will be a place where everyone can experience, understand, and celebrate Bangladesh together.”

Mizanur Rahman, a young Bangladeshi entrepreneur living in Kuala Lumpur, shared:
“Such initiatives boost our confidence. They not only promote Bangladeshi products but also make us, the expatriates, feel proud.”

Similarly, Brishti Khatun, a Bangladeshi PhD student abroad, expressed her excitement, “I’m thrilled to know that the festival will feature an Education and Talent Hub. Even from overseas, it gives young Bangladeshis an opportunity to dream bigger.”

Since its founding in 2014, the Malaysia Bangladesh Forum Association (MBFA) has been working as a bridge to strengthen cultural, economic, and diplomatic ties between Bangladesh and Malaysia. With support from the Bangladesh High Commission and various public-private organizations, this grand festival is expected to further solidify Bangladesh’s global brand.
