The Bangladesh Coast Guard has conducted an operation and seized vension meat in Khulna on Tuesday.
Coast Guard media officer Lieutenant Commander Siam-ul-Haque provided this information through a press release on Wednesday.
According to the press release, based on secret information, at 11 pm on Tuesday night,
a special operation was conducted by Coast Guard Station Koyra in the Patakhali area under Koyra police station in Khulna.
During the operation, 32 kg of deer meat was seized from an abandoned sack in the area. At that time, the deer poachers managed to flee sensing the presence of the Coast Guard, so no one could be arrested.
the seized deer meat was handed over to the Bojbaj Forest Office for further legal action.
The Coast Guard will continue such operations in the future to keep the Sundarbans vibrant by preventing wildlife killing and Smuggling.
