A workers’ meeting of the youth wing of a political organization was held at the Ayra Madrasa premises in Binail Union, Birampur upazila of Dinajpur. on Thursday evening.
The event was organized by the upazila unit of the organization. It was presided over by Convener Jibon Chowdhury Shahin and conducted by member secretary Adv. Miah Shiron Alam.
Among the speakers were the district unit convener and former acting mayor of Dinajpur municipality A.K.M. Masudul Islam, District Member Secretary Rezaur Rahman Reza, upazila party president Alhaj Miah Shafiqul Alam Mamun, general secretary Manjur Elahi Chowdhury Rubel, Binail Union Parishad chairman Humayun Kabir Badsha, union party president Alhaj Hafiz Uddin, and general secretary Mokbul Hossain.
Other speakers included joint conveners Zakir Khondokar and Mamunur Rashid Liton, former acting president Hasanuzzaman Dewan, and former general secretary and municipal councilor Jobaidul Haque Jewel.
During the program, several candidates for local leadership positions presented their qualifications and spoke about their goals. Organizers said that the final list of nominees would be announced after reviewing the candidates’ records.
Speakers emphasized the importance of strengthening the organization at the grassroots level ahead of the upcoming national election.
