A young man named Noman has gone missing after falling into the Meghna river in Daulatkhan, Bhola after being chased by the police.

The police and coast guard, along with the fire service department's diving team, could not find him despite separate operations on Thursday.

Police and locals said that on Thursday afternoon, a few youths were sitting on the banks of the Meghna river and playing cards. At that time, three young men jumped into the river after sensing the presence of the police.

Noman could not be found despite a day-long search on Friday afternoon.
The fishermen said that Noman was also playing cards with the fishermen on the bank of the river during their free time while fishing. At that time a team of four policemen came to the fish ghat. On seeing the police, the fishermen jumped into the river while running away. At that time the police constables started throwing bricks at the fishermen. That's why Noman could not come up.

In this regard, Zakir Hossain, OC of Daulatkhan police station, said that on Thursday, when the police went on patrol, the fishermen jumped into the river while escaping.
