Young man gets death sentence for killing child at Shahjadpur

A young man named Amir Chan (28) was sentenced to death by the court for the murder of the child Salam Ali in Shahjadpur in Sirajganj and was fined Tk 50,000 on Tuesday.
District and Session Judge Court Judge Fazle Khoda.Nazir delivered this judgment.
Sirajganj Judge Court Public Prosecutor Abdur Rahman confirmed this.
Amir Chan, the accused sentenced to death, is the son of Mokched Ali of Raipur village of Shahjadpur upazila.
According to the charge sheet of the case, on the afternoon of August 2, 2018, Amir Chan along with children Musa, Sumaiya, Yasin and victim Salam Ali were playing football in the yard of Akched Ali's house in Raipur village of Shahjadpur. After the game, the neighbor Aamir Chan takes the child Salam and keeps him in his house.
After that, they left notes and letters in various places demanding a ransom of 10 lakhs, 3 lakhs and 1.5 lakhs from the child's family.
In this regard, the family members of the child along with the parents filed a case at Shahjadpur police station on August 11, 2018 after not getting Salam Ali's evening.When the police arrested Amir Chan that day, he confessed to the incident and according to the information given by him, the body of Salam Ali was recovered from the well of Abdul Latif and Zakirul's house. Accused Amir admitted the incident and gave a confessional statement under Section 164 in the Magistrate Court.
The state side took the testimony of 11 witnesses to prove the charge. After taking the testimony, the judge ordered Aamir Chan to be executed.
