World Kidney Day in Ramadan: Precautions are needed to prevent

World Kidney Day in Ramadan: Precautions are needed to prevent

Dr. Muhammad Mahtab Hossain Mazed

The third day of the holy month of Ramadan has started today. The month of fasting. In this month, Allah Ta'ala has made fasting obligatory on healthy and active people. But many people do not fast due to various diseases. Confused about it. One of these is kidney disease. Today Thursday is World Kidney Day. This day is observed to raise awareness of kidney disease across the world. The day is celebrated on Thursday in the second week of March every year.

In continuation of that, World Kidney Day-2024 has been celebrated. Kidney disease is one of the non-communicable diseases in the world today. The number of kidney patients is increasing all over the world. Women are more affected by this disease than men. The prevalence of kidney disease is increasing day by day in Bangladesh. A kidney patient can be sure about this disease only when both kidneys in his body are 60 to 70 percent damaged. Due to this, after the diagnosis of the disease, the patient gets very little time for treatment. Kidneys can be kept functioning by long-term and costly dialysis. But its cost is expensive. Dialysis and transplants are expensive, making it unaffordable for most patients. Apart from this, depending on the availability of kidney, the cost of kidney transplant is more or less 5-7 lakh taka and also the cost of medicines for the whole lifeIt is not possible to accurately calculate the number of kidney patients worldwide and the number of deaths due to it.

Because a patient who dies of heart disease is diagnosed with heart disease, kidney disease is not diagnosed as a cause of heart disease. Many people's kidneys gradually fail. Most cases have no symptoms. As a result, patients do not understand that such a terrible disease has settled in their body. Those who have diabetes or those who have diabetes in their family, those who have high blood pressure or someone in the family who has kidney problems, should consult a kidney specialist at least once a year. The main causes of kidney failure are diabetes, nephritis, high blood pressure, bacterial invasion of kidney, cystic disease, disordered lifestyle. And in this age of adulterated and artificial food, one of the biggest problems is kidney stones. Kidney problems can be checked through blood urea creatinine level test, ultrasonogram etc.

If you are diagnosed with a disease, you can stay healthy if you walk and eat and drink according to the rules. Kidney patients can live a normal life by drinking 8-10 glasses of water daily, controlling diabetes, controlling high blood pressure, regular exercise and physical activity. It should be remembered that diabetes must be controlled to keep the kidneys healthy.

On the occasion of the day, various social and voluntary organizations and various medical colleges and hospitals will hold various programs around the world as well as in our country. The main cause of kidney disease is diabetes and high blood pressure 10 years ago, the rate of diabetes patients in Bangladesh was 5-6%; Currently it has increased to 11-12 percent. The rate of hypertension was 10 percent and now it is 20-25 percent. Due to the increasing rate of these two diseases, the number of kidney patients in Bangladesh is increasing every year. Because the main causes of kidney disease are diabetes and high blood pressure. 40,000 patients suffer from kidney failure in Bangladesh every year. Only 20% of its patients have access to treatment.

The remaining 80 percent of patients die due to lack of treatment. About 40,000 people are dying annuallyIn order to gain proper knowledge about the machine and any problem of the machine, we must first have a proper understanding of the machine. The MUA device can be divided into four main parts. Namely 1. Two kidneys which secrete urine 2. Two ureters which carry urine down from the kidneys. 3A urinary bladder where urine is stored 4.Urethra through which urine exits. In males it is the vaginal opening and in females it is an orifice. The parts of the urinary system are 1. Left kidney 2. Right kidney, 3. Aorta, 4. Inferior vena cava, 5. Left ureter, 6. Right ureter, 7Urinary Bladder 8. Urethra, Notably, the right kidney is slightly lower than the left kidney because the liver is on the right kidney. Each kidney is about 4/5 inch long and 2½ inches at the tip. An adult's kidney weighs about 140 grams each. The shape of the kidney is similar to the grain inside the kidney. In front of the right kidney are the liver, large intestine, duodenum, and small intestine. In front of the left kidney are the spleen, pancreas, part of the stomach, small intestine, and large intestine. Recently, more than 38 million people in Bangladesh are suffering from some kind of kidney disease. About 75 percent of patients seek medical attention after kidney failure. 40,000 to 50,000 people die from kidney disease every year. But 60 percent of kidney disease can be prevented by homeopathy through increasing public awareness. Any conscious person will be shocked by the shocking news of increase in kidney failure and other serious kidney diseases in Bangladesh. According to statistics, out of 170 million people in Bangladesh, about 20 million people are suffering from kidney disease. Among them, the number of people suffering from chronic complicated kidney disease is about one crore and eighty lakh. 5 people are dying every hour from this disease. Because treatments like kidney dialysis and transplants cost millions of dollars, most patients die virtually without treatment. Moreover, most of the chronic kidney disease patients die of heart failure. Because kidney disease, heart attack and diabetes are closely related.According to the report, the main reason for the increase in the number of deadly kidney diseases at an unimaginable rate is adulterated food, diabetes and high blood pressure. Although allopathic kidney experts say that these three factors are the real cause, in fact, according to homeopathic medical science, kidney damage is caused by taking too much allopathic medicineThe main reason must be said.Because many of us do not know that most of the medicines we take enter the blood and carry out their work. Later, these two kidneys have to perform the duty of collecting them from the blood and filtering them out of the body. As a result, the more medicine we take, the more our kidneys have to work and as a result, the kidneys become weaker-tired-tired-sick. Moreover, after taking too many medicines, you need to drink a lot of water to flush them out of the body. But many of us do not comply with drinking too much water. The disease that is considered to be the main cause of kidney damage is called nephritis and this drug is also the main cause of nephritis. Although the kidney regularly excretes all the drugs that we consume, but even a few particles of the drug remain on the kidney without the knowledge of the kidney. Later on, various bacteria, chemicals, dead cells etc. accumulate on that particle and its structure changes. As a result, the kidney can no longer recognize the particle. At one point the particle tries to become a part of the kidney itself. But the kidney refuses to accept the particle. Eventually, a civil war begins inside the kidney, medically called an autoimmune reaction, where one part of the kidney recognizes the other as an enemy and sets out to destroy it. As a result the kidneys bring about their own destruction and we become denizens of the grave. At the same time, we make our children beggars on the way. Because the treatment cost of kidney disease in allopathic treatment, it does not take more than six months for the family of any kidney patient to get on the road.
> What will be the diet of kidney patients in Ramadan?

Fasting is risky for those with chronic kidney disease, those who are in the fifth stage of kidney failure, those who have to undergo regular dialysis, those who are undergoing treatment for inflammation of the urinary tract, those who have sudden kidney failure, those who are undergoing an emergency kidney operation. Moreover, if there is any complication in the blood components of chronic kidney patients, those with uncontrolled diabetes or high blood pressure, they should control them and fast.

> What should a kidney patient eat during fasting?

Kidney patients are generally advised not to eat pulses and pulses if creatinine is high.
