Worker killed in vehicle crash, driver arrested in Narsingdi

A labourer Bachchu Fakir (58) was killed in the vekur chapa at Palash in Narsingdi.
The accident happened on the road in front of Danga Bazar in Danga Union of the upazila at around 11:30 on Wednesday.
Deceased Bachchu Fakir is the son of deceased Samir Uddin of Hasanhata village of Danga Union. This information was confirmed by Danga Union Parishad member Abul Bashar.
Police and locals said that in the morning, Bachchu Fakir left his house in Hasanhata village to work as a laborer in Danga Bazar. At around 11:30 a.m., he was crushed by a vehicle while crossing the road in front of the market. Bachchu Fakir died on the spot. Meanwhile, the people of the market arrested the driver of the vehicle and handed it over to the police.
Danga Police Outpost In-charge (ASI) Khairul Islam said that the body of the deceased was recovered from the spot after receiving information. Preparations are underway to send the body to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital morgue for post-mortem. The truck driver has been arrested. Legal action will be taken in this incident
