Country's leading technology product manufacturer Walton Digi-Tech Industries Limited has launched a new model of 40 ppm automatic duplex printer. With this state-of-the-art Walton printer, users can easily print from a computer or laptop as well as a smartphone or tab through app.

The new model of the Walton printer, which has come to the market under its 'Printon' brand, is Printon OP401DW. The price of Walton's new printer with fast printing facilities is 27,500 BDT.

The new model of Printon printer was inaugurated by Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Secretary Shish Haider Chowdhury and Chairman of Walton Digi-Tech Industries Limited, S M Rezaul Alam at the recently held 'Advanced Technology Solution or ATS Expo-2024' industry fair.

It was informed at the event that new Printon printer has a 1.2 GHz processor and 512 MB memory. Its printing speed is 40 (A4) and 42 (letter) ppm. The first page will be printed in less than 6.9 seconds and the monthly duty cycle is 100,000 pages.

At the inauguration ceremony of the new model of Printon printer, ICT Secretary Shish Haider Chowdhury said: Walton is creating employment in the country at a large scale. They are saving foreign currency by exporting electronics and technology products from Bangladesh. They are contributing to the domestic economy by paying VAT and taxes properly. In addition, Walton is committed to environmental protection. Walton is ensuring transparency in business. I used to regret seeing high-tech products and production processes in developed countries. I used to wonder when these products would be manufactured in our country! But I was impressed after visiting Walton's production plant recently. Now I am convinced that our country has also that capability and has come a long way.

He also said: Walton is now manufacturing all kinds of electronics and tech products including laptops, desktops, all-in-one PCs, monitors, printers, tabs, speakers and CCTVs in its own plant. Walton has now become our emotion. We usually tend to look towards to foreign brands for good product and service. But Walton has changed that mindset. By providing the best services and products, Walton has turned buyers away from foreign dependency. They are providing products at affordable prices so that even the common people can now use all kinds of technology products including smartphones. SM Rezaul Alam said, Walton is manufacturing all kinds of products in the digital and electronics segments with 100% quality assurance. In this way, Walton has gradually become the leading technology product manufacturer, marketer and exporter in Bangladesh. This has been possible due to various policy support adopted by the government for the development of domestic industry. The government still needs more policy support in some other areas including exports to protect domestic investors and industries. Then the country's economy will move forward at a faster pace.

Among others, the event was attended by Walton Digi-Tech's Additional Managing Director Liakat Ali, Walton Hi-Tech's Deputy Managing Director Brig. General (Retd.) Sajjad Hossain and Walton Computer Products' Chief Business Officer Touhidur Rahman Rad, along with senior officials of the company.
