Various programs were held in Chittagong on Saturday 5th October to protest the killing of teacher Sohel Rana in Khagrachari and to demand an end to the conspiracy on the Chittagong Hill Tracts.

A protest meeting was held at Chittagong Metropolitan Journalist Union Hall at 11.00 am. At 4.00 pm at Chittagong Press Club, implementation of human chain program along with protest procession and torch procession was held at 7.00 pm.

Speakers at the protest meeting said, Khagrachari Technical School and College teacher Abul Hasan Muhammad Sohail Rana. He was released from prison in the past and reinstated in due process of law. But, the armed terrorist organization UPDF was blocking it. He was transferred elsewhere to control the situation. On Tuesday, October 1, he went to the school to collect the release order. At the same time, how reasonable is the student rape? There were allegations against him earlier, but he was acquitted by the court. So why did the tribal terrorists brutally kill him inside the school by making false accusations?

No matter how many thefts someone has committed in the past, no matter how many cases there have been. But the past theft cases of Mamun who died in mob lynching in Khagrachari, the rape attempt of Sohail Rana came up. Even though mob lynching is happening all over the country, why is it being made a death justice by bringing up past incidents in Khagrachari?

Be it a thief, a rapist, a murderer - the criminal has specific laws for the trial of every crime. But by suddenly taking the law into their own hands like this, a nefarious clan of the tribe is conspiring subtly to create an unstable environment. If the state neglects this conspiracy, there is a possibility of massive loss to the common people of the hills. The extrajudicial killings through one after another false accusations and slander against Bengalis bear the proof.

Speakers also said that Chakma Circle Chief Debashish Roy and his 2nd wife Ian Ian, Gautam Dewan, Michael Chakma, Prasit Vikas Khisa, Professor Mangasanu Chowdhury are playing a role as main instigators and conspirators in the Chittagong Hill Tracts to create their own permanent interests in the hills. , NirupaDewan, Banchita Chakma, Prakriti Ranjan Chakma, Juamlian Amlai, Advocate Sushmita Chakma, Shanti Vijay Chakma, Advocate Madhavi Marma, Ashok Kumar Chakma, Imtiaz Mahmud, Mejbah Kamal and many more. In order to stop the conspiracy and conflict with the Chittagong Hill Tracts, it is necessary to control the provocateurs of the state now, if they do not stop the conspiracy and provocation then they should be brought under the law immediately.

The conspirators are creating anarchy in Chittagong Hill Tracts in the name of agitation with the students, youth and women organizations of JSS and UPDF as well as the 2nd and 3rd rank leaders and workers of Pahari Chhatra Parishad (PCP) under the banner of Pahari Chhatra Andolan against conflict and discrimination. In every movement, the armed terrorists of the regional groups forcefully intimidate the ordinary Paharis to join them in the movement.
