Various programmes held on Victory Day at Shibalaya

On the occasion of great Victory Day, various programs were organized by Shibalaya upazila administration and various socio-cultural organizations on Friday .
In the morning, wreaths were placed at the Upazila Central Shaheed Minar.
Wreaths were placed at Shaheed Minar on behalf of Upazila Parishad-Administration, Police, Ansar, Fire Service, various educational institutions, local press club-journalistic association, political parties, socio-cultural organizations.
Later, National Flag Hoisting, Police, Ansar, Fire Service members and students of various educational institutions participated in the ceremony organized at Daschira Mini-Stadium. The freedom fighters were felicitated. Special prayers are held in religious places of worship including mosques, temples, churches. Good quality food is provided in hospitals, orphanages.
Apart from this, Shilpakala Academy, Primary School Teachers, Sadar Uddin Degree College, local renowned artists performed recite, music and dance in the cultural program at Upazila Parishad Auditorium. Prizes are distributed among the winners.
AM Naimur Rahman Durjoy MP was the chief guest. UNO Md. Zahidur Rahman presided. Upazila Chairman Rezaur Rahman Khan, Vice Chairman Miraj Hossain Lalon, Runa Akther, Zila Parishad Member MA Quddus BA and others spoke as special guests.
