Bangladesh Awami League's 75th birth anniversary was celebrated amid colourful arrangements at Jackson Heights in New York on Sunday.

This is the first time in the history of United States Awami League that the founding anniversary of the organization was organized in such a grand manner led by US Awami League President Dr Siddiqur Rahman.

The history of Awami League from the founding period to Sheikh Hasina's leadership was displayed on the digital screen installed on the truck at Diversity Plaza. Signatures of History Maulana Bhasani, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Shamsul Haque, Maulana Abdur Rashid Tark Bagish, Tajuddin Ahmed were seen.

Images of many leaders including Sheikh Hasina were floating on the screen. Bangabandhu's March 7 speech was playing. Diversity Plaza was full of Awami League-backed leaders and workers. Everyone read birthday badges and held festoons and chanted happy birthday on the way. The president cut the cake and gave it to the workers. Sahana Rahman, wife of Siddiqur Rahman. The patriotic songs of artists led by Monika Roy Chowdhury won everyone's hearts. At the end of the program biryani was distributed among activists and common people.
