Ukraine loses up to 425 soldiers in battles with Russia's Battlegroup Zapad — MoD

Ukraine lost up to 425 soldiers in battles with Russia's Battlegroup Zapad over the past 24 hours, the Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD) said on Tuesday.

"The Ukrainian armed forces lost up to 425 military personnel, a tank, two armored personnel carriers, six cars [among other military losses in battles with Russia's Battlegroup Zapad]," the MoD said in a statement, adding that the group also repelled six Ukrainian counterattacks in the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR).

Russia's Battlegroup Tsentr repelled seven Ukrainian counterattacks in the DPR and Kiev lost up to 420 soldiers, while Russia's Battlegroup Yug improved its positions in the DPR and Ukraine lost more than 320 soldiers.

Russian Tsentr combat group improved tactical situation during day and repulsed seven Ukrainian counterattacks. Ukrainian losses amount to 420 servicemen.

Russia's Battlegroup Vostok repelled one counterattack and the armed forces of Ukraine lost up to 145 soldiers, the ministry said.

Additionally, Ukraine lost up to 245 soldiers in battles with the Russian Battlegroup Sever, the MoD added.
