Today's children are artisans of prosperous country

The book festival was celebrated by giving free new textbooks to the students in Belkuchi of Sirajganj on Sunday. The students smelled the new book.'

On the first Sunday of January, teachers-students and non-believers celebrated a book festival at Sohagpur Pilot Girls' High School of Upazila.

Meanwhile, Sirajganj-5 (Belkuchi-Chowhali) Member of Parliament Abdul Momin Mondal, the chief guest of the programme , handed over new class textbooks to the students.

At that time he said, "Today's children are the artisans of building a prosperous Bangladesh in the future."We used to wait for new books while studying.Today's students don't have to wait any longer.Books are reaching everyone on the first of January every year.This time we should take the country forward by studying well.

Upazila Secondary Education Officer SM Golam Reza said that new books have been distributed in all secondary schools and madrasas of the upazila.We used to look to Big Brothers for new books.Now no more students have to wait like this.

Gazi Saidur Rahman, president of Belkuchi Press Club, said, "We used to study with old books earlier.I didn't get new books properly.

Honourable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has delivered books to all our students on January 1 every year.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Anisur Rahman said that it is a pleasure to be able to hand over new books to the students on the first day of the new year.Hopefully the teachers and parents will develop the students through teaching with sincerity.

Municipal Awami League president Mirza Md. Shariful Islam, head teacher Nazrul Islam and others were also present.
