This generation needs to understand the context of the Liberation War, then we can understand why the spirit of the Liberation War needs to be emulated. I have gained freedom with a price. It was not easy for the freedom fighters to risk their lives. Their debt cannot be repaid in any way.

Rangamati Superintendent of Police Mir Abu Tauhid said these things in his speech at the felicitation ceremony for the heroic freedom fighters and martyred freedom fighters' families on the occasion of the Great Independence and National Day 2024 on March 26.

He said, if we can may be useful in any service to the family members of brave freedom fighters and martyred freedom fighters, then we are worthwhile.

On Tuesday at 11 am, the reception program was organized by the initiative of Rangamati District Administration.

Deputy Commissioner Md. Mosharraf Hossain Khan was present as the chief guest of the reception. Rangamati Public College Principal Tachaddik Hossain, Freedom Fighter Ruhul Amin, Freedom Fighter Haji Md Kamal Uddin, Rangamati District Acting Freedom Fighter Commander Iqbal Hossain spoke on the occasion.

Deputy Commissioner Md Mosharraf Hossain Khan, Superintendent of Police Mir Abu Tauhid gave gifts to the family members of brave freedom fighters and martyred freedom fighters.

Earlier, the Rangamati District Police's vigilante team launched the Great Independence and National Day program by firing 31 rounds of gunfire.

Rangamati District Administration and Superintendent of Police paid tribute to the great architect Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the Great Liberation War of 1971 at the Bangabandhu Mural in Rangamati Sadar on March 26, 2024.

Later, ceremonial hoisting of the national flag, colorful parade and display were held at the Rangamati Chinghlamong Mari Stadium. Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain and Superintendent of Police Mir Abu Tauhid took salute in the parade.
