Teen killed ,3 Injured as bus hits easybike in Eidgaon

A teenager was killed and three others injured after a passenger bus rammed into an easybike in Eidgaon, Cox's Bazar.
The incident occurred at around 12 PM on Wednesday in the Dhalar Duwar area of Eidgaon Upazila on the Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar Highway, according to Highway Police's Malumghat Outpost In-Charge Inspector Mehedi Hasan.
The deceased, Shafi Alam (14), was the son of Nuru Mia, also known as Lalu, from the Paschim Gozalia area under the Islamabadh Union of Eidgaon Upazila.
However, the identities of the injured could not be confirmed immediately, said the inspector.
Quoting locals, Mehedi Hasan stated that the Cox’s Bazar-bound passenger bus hit the easybike from behind while both vehicles were headed in the same direction. The impact caused the easybike to crumple, killing the teenager on the spot and injuring three others. The bus fled the scene immediately after the collision, while locals rushed to rescue the victims.
The injured were taken to a local clinic near Eidgaon Station for treatment. Police have seized the damaged easybike.
The body of the deceased has been handed over to his family, Inspector Hasan confirmed.
