A retired teacher named Siddique Hossain (70) was killed when a motorcycle ran over him in Pakundia, Kishoreganj.

The accident took place on Saturday after Iftar at Kishoreganj-Gazipur regional highway in Pakundia Sriramadi potato store market area.

The deceased Siddique Hossain was a resident of Khandkar house of Porabaria village of Narandi upazila. He retired as a teacher in Hossaindi Government Primary School and Porabaria Government Primary School. At the time of his death, he left behind a wife, 4 sons and 2 daughters and numerous well-wishers.

The deceased Siddique Hossain was a resident of Khandkar house of Porabaria village of Narandi upazila. He retired as a teacher in Hossaindi Government Primary School and Porabaria Government Primary School. At the time of his death, he left behind numerous benefactors, including his wife, 4 sons and 2 daughters.

According to local sources, a motorcycle coming from the direction of Kishoreganj ran over him while he was standing on the side of the road at Pakundia Sriramdi Alu Store Bazar area on the Kishoreganj-Gazipur regional highway on Saturday. Local residents rescued him and first took him to Pakundia Upazila Health Complex.

After the initial treatment there, the doctor sent him to Kishoreganj Syed Nazrul Islam Medical College Hospital. From there, the doctor on duty referred Siddique Hossain to Zahirul Islam Medical College Hospital in Bhagalpur for better treatment. He died around 12:30 pm after being taken to Zahirul Islam Medical College Hospital.

Siddique Hussain was buried in the family cemetery after the Janaza Namaz at Porabaria Mela Bazar Eidgah ground in the afternoon.
