A 13-member committee has been formed for the year 2023-24 of Journalist Union of Tajumaddin Upazila of Bhola District on Thursday.

Alhaj Nurunnabi Chowdhury Shaon, Member of Parliament for Bhola-3 Constituency, was the main sponsor of the Journalist Union.

Sonapur UP Chairman Mehdi Hasan Mishu Howladar, former president of Tajumuddin Press Club Rafiqul Islam Sadi are advisers.

The meeting was held on Thursday at 7 pm in the organization's temporary office Muktijoddha Complex Auditorium under the chairmanship of former president of Tajumuddin Press Club Rafiqul Islam Sadi and general secretary of Reporters Unity Sadir Hossain Rahim, based on the opinion of members, Dainik Amar Sangbad representative Md. Salim Reza as president and Mehdi Hasan Mamun as representative of Dainik Pratindir Sangbad. Ilyas Sani, the general secretary and representative of Daily Alokita period, has been elected as the organizing secretary. Apart from this, Sharif-al Amin (daily Bhorer Kagaz), Mosharf Hossain (daily Barisal Samachar), Rafiqul Islam (Dainik Sanbad Mohna) as vice president, Murad Hossain Munna (Dainik Bangladesh Samachar) as joint general editor (Dainik Ekushe News) Islam Shakib Titu Mazumder, (J TV) Mohammad Khoka as Organizing Secretary (Dainik Digantar). Md. Abu Taher as Finance Secretary (daily south region). Md. Janzil was elected as Publicity and Office Secretary (Daily Third Level) and Sadir Hossain Rahim was elected as Executive Member (Dainik Bhola Times).

Gazi Abdul Jalil, the former president of the press club, M Nurunnabi, the general secretary of the current committee of the press club, Sadir Hossain Rahim, the general secretary of the Reporters Unity were present in the committee formation meeting among others.
