On the occasion of July Mass Uprising Day 2025, a unique symbolic marathon was organized by the initiative of the Deputy Commissioner of Naogaon to pay deep tribute to the martyrs.
With the participation of people from all walks of life in the district, this vibrant event turned into a grand gathering.
The marathon began on Friday at 7:00 AM in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office and concluded at Nowjoan Field after parading through the main roads of Naogaon town.
The entire event was a heartfelt tribute to the sacrifice of the martyrs and an exceptional effort to inspire the younger generation with patriotic spirit.
Naogaon Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Abdul Awal attended the marathon as the chief guest. He inaugurated the run and delivered a brief speech, recalling the sacrifices of the martyrs. The Deputy Commissioner said, "Through this marathon, we are paying respect to those who laid down their lives in July for the country, and at the same time inspiring the new generation to follow in their footsteps."
Participants included senior officials from the district administration, police personnel, student representatives from the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Naogaon, members of martyr families, staff from various government and non-government institutions, school and college students, athletes, volunteers, and people from different walks of life.
The event created a festive atmosphere throughout Naogaon town. Participants expressed excitement and enthusiasm. To ensure safety and support, teams from the police, fire service, and Red Crescent were deployed.
The people of Naogaon appreciated the initiative taken by the district administration. They hope that such inclusive events in memory of the martyrs will be held every year with even broader public participation, inspiring the younger generation with a sense of patriotism.
