As part of the central program, a protest rally and demonstration were held by Sunamganj District Jubo Dal to protest against the long-standing secret activities of a group attempting to create mobs, disrupting the proper educational environment in educational institutions, and the deterioration of the law and order situation across the country on Thursday afternoon.
The rally organized by Sunamganj District Jubo Dal started from the old bus stand in front of the district BNP office, circled through various roads of the city, and ended with a protest assembly at the local traffic point.
At that time, speeches were delivered under the presidency of Aminur Rashid Amin, the acting president of Sunamganj District Jubo Dal, and the program was conducted by organizational secretary Kamrul Hasan Raju. Among the speakers were Mamunur Rashid Kayesh, general secretary of the district Jubo Dal, senior vice president Suhel Ahmed, joint secretary Tafazzal Hossain, Mominul Haq Kalarchan, and Azizur Rahman Saurav, convener of Sunamganj municipal Jubo Dal. Also present were grassroots leaders from district and upazila Jubo Dal.
The leaders said that for the past 17 years, under the leadership of the chairperson of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and three-time former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia, acting chairman Tarique Rahman, and other central leaders, BNP's district and upazila leaders along with allied organizations in Sunamganj have played a leading role in the movement for establishing a new Bangladesh in July, braving lawsuits and attacks on the streets against the fascist autocratic Awami League.
Now, certain quarters are involved in false propaganda against the country's largest political organization BNP, creating mobs to delay the national elections. They demanded the immediate holding of the national parliamentary election from the current government.
