The district Police in Kishoreganj have taken all necessary and strict security measures to keep the law and order and traffic situations under control to ensure the people ahead of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, likely to be celebrated on April 12.

"Check posts have already been set up in.8 municipalities and 13 upazila and shopping malls, and patrolling has been enhanced on highway in the district ahead of upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr," said Superintendent of Police (SP) of Kishoreganj Mohammad Rasel Sheikh PMM (Bar), BPM (Sheba) while speaking a crime meeting at police lines drell shet on Thursday noon.

Special attentions would be given to some key points including Banks, Financial organisations and around the shopping malls. The police identify. and take actions against muggers pickpockets, doping gangs and unauthorised vehicles.

The law enforcement agencies is working tirelessly to stop land grabbing and to help people lead a hassle free life, he said, adding that everybody should be aware of preventing cyber-crime.

Additional SP (Crime, Trafffic and Ops) Al-Amin Hossien underscored the need to set up close circuit (CC) cameras at Bus terminals, Rail stations, town's high-rise building and shoppingmalls.

Plain clothes police remains vigilant inside and outside at all shopping malls, and special police force has been on patrol at all the important places during the holy Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr.

Additional SP (Crime, Traffic & Ops) also said that, Cops recovered huge stolen motorcycle in last one month.

He underscored the need for effective measures for plying three wheelers' vehicles on the streets to minimize traffic congestion in Kishoreganj and Bhairab port town.

SP Mohammad Rasel Sheikh PPM (Bar), BPM (Sheba) emphasized on enhancing supervision at all kitchen markets for not selling adulterated foods, unhealthy and substandard vermicelli during the holy Ramadan and Eid.

Four-tier security measures will be taken at historic Sholakia Eidgah ground. Over 1500 law enforces will be deployed to maintain security', SP Mohammad Rasel Sheikh added.
