
Six cows stolen in one night in Gafargaon

Six cows were stolen in one night in Gafargaon, Mymensingh. The theft occurred in the village of Bharail in the upazila on Sunday morning.
The victims and locals said that a bull and three cows belonging to Enamul Hasan and a cow and a heifer calf belonging to Ayub Ali were stolen at some point on Sunday morning. The estimated value of the cows is four and a half lakh taka.
The owners of the cows, Enamul Hasan and Ayub Ali, said that in the evening the cows were tied up in their cowshed next to the house.
They guarded the cows until four o'clock on Saturday night. On Sunday morning, when they went to the cowshed, they found that not a single cow was there. The lock of the cowshed was broken. The miscreants stole all six cows in the early hours of the morning.
Gafargaon Police Station OC Md. Shibirul Islam said that an investigation is underway in this regard and efforts are being made to rescue the cows.
