Shah Abdul Karim's 13th death anniv celebrated in Habiganj

The 13th death anniversary of Baul saint Shah Abdul Karim was celebrated in Habiganj on Monday.
On this occasion, a talk and musical event was organized on Monday (September 12) evening at Khoai Theater, Town Hall Road in the city.
Poet Badal Krishna Vanik, Apu Chowdhury, Tofajjal Sohel, maker of the documentary titled 'Ganamanusher Marmiya Kavi Shah Abdul Karim', literature and drama activist Siddiqui Haroon, member secretary of Pragati Uktar Sangh district branch Tansen Amin, Khowai participated in the discussion organized by 'Karim Bhaktabrind'.
Theater general secretary Yashin Khan, former general secretary Partha Sarathi Roy, cultural activist Raja Samaran Bhattacharya, dramatist Subas Thakur and others.
Moqtadir Ibn Salam, the director of the film 'Ranger Dunya' based on the biography of Shah Abdul Karim, delivered the welcome speech. Syed Kauchar, Rumon, Yachin Khan, Zubayd Hossain, Sukant Gop, Rajan Das, Lovelu Das, Pramath Sarkar, Ashiq Sultan and others performed music in the event.
The speakers discussed the various aspects of Shah Abdul Karim's life and wished for wide dissemination of the sentiments and philosophy of his written songs.
