Sara Ali Khan who is currently busy with the promotions of her romantic-comedy Zara Hatke Zara Bachke recently spoke about the possibility of her getting married to a cricketer, this comes after the dating rumours circulating with the Indian cricket player Shubman Gill.
While neither the actor nor the cricketer has responded to the speculations, in an interview, Sara was questioned on whether she would be open to following in the footsteps of her grandmother Sharmila Tagore and marrying a cricketer. Sara acknowledged that her profession is irrelevant to her, Filmfare reported.
“I think that the kind of person that I am, to find somebody it doesn’t matter what they do — actor, cricketer, businessman, doctor… Maybe not doctors, they will run away. But you know the truth is that jokes apart, you will need to match me on the mental and intellectual level. And if you can do that, I think it’s great, wow but I think that would matter to me much, much more (than the profession)," she said.
She was also asked if she is dating anyone from the Indian cricket team to which she replied, "I’ll be honest with you, I think and I can say this with surety, I think the person I am going to be in my life I have not met so far. I really don’t think so."
Meanwhile, on the work front, Sara Ali Khan will next be seen in Ae Watan Mere Watan. She will also star in Anurag Baasu's anthology Metro...In Dino alongside Aditya Roy Kapur. She also has Murder Mubarak, co-starring Karisma Kapoor and Vijay Varma.
