Rifat of Narsingdi gets IGP batch medal of police

Policeman Rifat Mia has been awarded the Police Force Exemplary Good Service Badge 2020 IGP Medal in recognition of his immense bravery and heroic actions and commendable contribution through arresting the accused in important cases, suppressing cyber crime, crime control, efficiency, duty, honesty and disciplined conduct.

DMP Commissioner Mr. Mohammad Shafiqul Islam BPM (Bar), IGP on behalf of Inspector General of Police Bangladesh Dr. Benazir Ahmed BPM (Bar) wore the IGP batch on Thursday at Rajarbagh Police Lines Parade ground.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police Additional Police Commissioner Admin Mir Rezaul Alam BPM (Bar), Additional Police Commissioner Mr. Krishna Pad Roy BPM (Bar), Additional Police Commissioner CTTC Md. Asaduzzaman BPM (Bar), Additional Police Commissioner DB DMP AKM Police including Hafiz AkhtarSenior officials were present.Mo Rifat Mia joined the Bangladesh Police Force as Constable in 2012, currently he is working at the Police Headquarters.

He played significant role in countering cyber crime, arrest of online banking cyber fraud gang, arrest of sensational accused Arang women employees changing clothes video, detection and arrest of ATM card and Bikash fraud gangs professionally.

Due to his brave actions, relentless efforts, intelligence and professionalism, the image of the police has brightened in the public mind. Father Bir Muktijudda Abdul Chhattar commander, his youngest child Mo Rifat Mia was born in 1993 in Char village in Palash police station of Narsingdi district in a Muslim family.
