The tea workers are continuing their agitation to demand a wage of 300 Taka. They are agitating for wage increase by blocking roads and holding regular processions in gardens. On the twelfth day of the agitation on Wednesday , the agitators started marching by blocking the Juri-Barlekha regional highway for 4 hours in the Juri upazila of Moulvibazar at around 11 am.

Meanwhile, they blocked the road with slogans like Sheikh Hasina government needs 300 taka wages, Sheikh Hasina is our mother, Sheikh Hasina government needs time and again. Due to the blockade of the road by the tea workers for their wage demands, there was heavy traffic on the road. Passengers suffer a lot in hot weather as the vehicles get stuck.

Meanwhile, the local MP and the Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Md. Shahab Uddin came to Juri to participate in various programs as part of the government program. The Minister went to the spot after the meeting of the Upazila Social Harmony Committee after receiving the news of the tea workers' blockade.

At this time, he consoled the tea workers and said that Hon'ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is very kind and compassionate towards the tea workers. The current government has built houses for many tea plantation workers. Also 5000 Taka is being paid every year for list of garden workers, which is not given by any other government. Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina will do everything possible for the welfare of tea workers.

With the initiative of the present government led by Bangabandhu's daughter, your sons and daughters are getting high education today, taking part in the management of the country.
