Rajshahi Education Board Officers Welfare Assoc elections on August 14

The biennial election of the Officers' Welfare Association of Rajshahi Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary is going to be held on August 14.
In this election, a total of 11 posts, 70 officers of the Education Board will exercise their voting rights. 16 officers will contest against 9 posts in the election. Since there are no candidates for 2 posts, they will win without any candidates.
The Election Commission has confirmed this information.
The election will be held from 9 am to 1 pm on Thursday (August 14). Shafiqul Islam, Senior System Analyst Engineer of the Education Board, will serve as the Chief Election Commissioner. Golam Azam Makhon, Chief Evaluation Officer of the Education Board, and Shamsul Anwar, Assistant School Inspector (PRL), will serve as the Election Commissioners.
Deputy Secretary Bhandar Mohd Durul Hoda, Deputy Examination Controller Zahidur Rahim and Assistant Examination Controller Akhtaruzzaman are contesting for the post of President. Assistant College Inspector Golam Nabi and Administrative Officer Sheikh Masud Ali are contesting for the post of General Secretary. In addition, Assistant Accounts Officer Mostafizur Rahman Mukul and Assistant School Inspector Abu Darda Khan are contesting for the post of Vice President against 1 post. Arifuzzaman Sarkar and Ahsan Ali Mandal are contesting for the post of Assistant General Secretary. Khorshed Alam and Golam Sarwar is contesting. Five people are contesting against the four member posts, namely Rafiqul Islam, Aminul Karim, Firoz Hossain, Mashiur Rahman and Mahfil Ara. Administrative officer Azahar Ali for the post of treasurer and data entry operator Masud Rana for the post of sports and literature-culture secretary are the sole candidates, so they will be elected unopposed.
Several officials, who did not wish to be named, said that Mohd Durul Hoda is ahead in terms of qualifications and popularity in the contest for the post of president. Golam Nabi is ahead in the post of general secretary.
