Railway sees 31 accidents in last 3 months; responsible persons to face action

A total of 31 accidents took place in the railway of the country. Of the accidents, investigation of 16 has already been completed while 15 are under investigation.
This information was revealed at the 22nd meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Railways Ministry on Tuesday (September 20) at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban in the capital.
It was mentioned in the report on accidents of the last three months in the railway that as per the investigation, punitive action is under consideration against those responsible persons for accidents.
Strict instructions were given to the employees of all departments regarding their responsibilities, including the maintenance of rail tracks, in order to check accidents.
At the same time, it has been emphasised on the motivation and training of the employees.
